Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Jimmy Edward McGee, age 79, passed away at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton on Friday, May 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 4:00PM-Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church in Godwin, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Smith.

Mr. McGee was born on February 11, 1947, in Sampson County, NC, to his late father, Dewey Talmadge McGee and his late mother, Eunice Quinn McGee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas McGee and his sister, Jean Cavenaugh. Mr. McGee retired from Eastern Wrecker Sales in Clayton, NC. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, watching Walker Texas Ranger, spending time with family and friends, but mostly treasured his moments with his grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and his little dog, Buddy. Mr. McGee was a devoted member of Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church in Godwin.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jeanette Hairr McGee; children, Tonya McGee Slagle and Tony Quismundo, Tammy Smith and husband, Eddie, Barbara Jackson and husband, Bobby, Tony Outlaw and wife, Mel; grandchildren, Chris Jackson and wife, Brittany, Amanda Nelson and husband, Jeff, Scott Outlaw and wife, Jennifer, Justin Smith, Jamie Outlaw, Brianna Outlaw, Ashton Slagle, and Carlee Slagle; great-grandchildren, Alexes Outlaw, Gracie Outlaw, Kaydence Hudson, Jayce Nelson, Brylee Nelson, Locklyn Sexton, Berkley Smith, Devin Outlaw, Oaklee Sexton, Evin Outlaw, and Stetson Smith; brother, Tommy McGee; sister, Janet Anderson and husband, Tim; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 3:45PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church prior to the service.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 2271 Autry Mill Road Godwin, NC 28344.
