Angier, NC: Mr. Jerry “Jeff” Felton Howard, II, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. His family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service at 514 S Lincoln Street Benson NC 27504 on Sunday, November 1st, 2026. The celebration will be 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Mr. Howard was born on April 15, 1964 in Wake County to Jerry Felton and Donna Jean Honeycutt Howard. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emma Garner. He was a man who knew how to enjoy life and bring a smile to those around him. He loved trying his luck at the casino, playing his guitar, rabbit hunting and spending time creating through his talent for woodworking. Known for his quick wit and love of cracking jokes, he had a special way of making people laugh. He could light up a room with his stories from his glory days. A proud NC State fan, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite team and could often be found with a cold Milo’s Sweet Tea in hand. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. He was a proud father of four. His happy place was being in the mountains surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his humor, his many talents, his love of life, his story telling and the countless memories he created with the people he loved most. His family encourages anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Jeff to come celebrate him.

Surviving includes his children, Jeremy Gitlin and wife, Gina, Heather House and husband, Josh, Christina Howard and husband, Clay Garner, and Cole Howard; his parents, Jerry Felton Howard and Donna Jean Honeycutt

Howard; his grandchildren, Grace Garner, Shane Garner, Julia and Olivia Garner, and one on the way, Dallas House; sisters, Pam Thompson and Cindy Howard; and brother, Joey Howard.
