August 15, 1945 — February 2, 2022

Four Oaks: Mrs. Janie Holloman Thompson, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma, NC.  Rev. Ronnie Hill will officiate.    

Mrs. Thompson was born on August 15, 1945 in Duplin County, NC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha McClenney, husbands, George Allen Baker and Marshall Thompson, daughters, Roxanne Thompson and Nancy Holloman, granddaughter, Haley Baker and a brother, Buddy Holloman. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and was loved by her family. 

Surviving include her daughter, Barbara Baker and husband, Carl Temple; son, Daniel Baker and wife, Stephanie; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Willis, JoAnne Peedin, Patricia Stanley, Kay Wetherspoon, and Darlene Jackson; many nieces and nephews.   

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. 

In accordance with the NC-COVID -19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are not required but kindly recommended.
