Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Janice Lee Smith, age 80, of Parkertown Road passed away on May 10, 2026 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. A Memorial Service will be held-11:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Bethel OFWB Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Todd Creech.

Mrs. Smith was born on June 23, 1945 in Johnston County to the late Delbert and Esther Lee Parker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Parker, Sr., Joyce Royester, and LaRue Hines. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved fishing along the coast and cherished the simple moments that brought everyone together. One of her favorite traditions was having word search races with her grandchildren, lying on the floor side by side with their puzzle books to see who could find the words first. She created countless treasured memories through family trips to White Lake and was known for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and the special way she made every family gathering feel like home. Her love, laughter, and the memories she created will be cherished by her family for years to come.

Surviving includes her children, Charles Lee and Joy Denise Williams; grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Jennifer Ann Williams, and Rayford Dale Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
