James Carroll Raynor

Mr. James Carroll Raynor, age 72, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, outside Benson, NC, with military honors.  Rev. Anthony McLamb will officiate.

Mr. Raynor was born in Harnett County, NC to the late William Sherrill and Marion Norris Raynor.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Benson and brothers, Wayne Raynor and Randy Raynor.  Mr. Raynor retired from CenturyLink Telephone Company with 43 years of service, and was a US Army Veteran. He loved his grandchildren, trips to Wal-Mart, and movies.  

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Gayle McLamb Raynor; children, Shelia Jernigan and husband, Glenn, and Kimberly Pope and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Casey Dorman, Ryan Barefoot, Kristen Holmes, Reid Barefoot, Kaitlyn Jernigan and Hannah Pope; great-grandchildren, Kendra Dorman, Scarlett Barefoot, Lennox Dorman, Amelia Holmes and Adalyn Holmes; brothers, Glen Raynor and Chris Raynor; several nieces and nephews.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
