James Wilson, Jr.

September 22, 1926 — October 29, 2019

Smithfield, NC:  Mr. James E. "J.E." Wilson, Jr., age, 93 of 1312 S. Crescent Drive, died Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. Funeral Service will be  2:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2019, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Rev. David Sutphin and Elder Dorothy Rhue. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.              Mr. Wilson was born in Johnston County on September 22, 1926 to James E. Sr., and Maggie McLamb Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hillers Wilson, sisters, Claudia Johnson, Mary Bell Bostic, Christine Thompson, Alma Johnson, Della Grace Stewart and a brother, Aldrick D. Wilson. Mr. Wilson owned and operated J.E. Wilson Enterprises in Smithfield and was a member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Smithfield. He was also a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy.              Surviving include his children, Pam Hansen and Tom Lueer of Savannah, GA; James E. “Jim” Wilson, III. and wife, Robin of Smithfield, NC; Angela Keel and husband, Stuart of Port Charlotte, Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Williamson, Melissa Johnson and Rockford Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Ivy and Logan; many nieces and nephews.                The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM-1:45 PM, Friday, November 1, 2019, prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 301 W. Main Street, Benson, NC 27504.              Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.              Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.roseandgraham.com
