Raleigh, NC: Mr. James Edwin Beasley, age 89, of Silver Star Drive passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Graveside Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

Mr. Beasley was born on December 9, 1936 in Johnston County to the late James Samuel and Myrtie Irene Hudson Beasley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Banning and brother, Raeford Beasley. He retired after 35 dedicated years as a machinist for Westinghouse, a career he took pride in. Outside of work, he found joy in spending time at the beach, going dancing, collecting classic cars, and riding motorcycles. Above all, he loved his family, who were the most important part of his life. He will be remembered for his dedication, his passions, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula McLamb; granddaughter, Jamie McLamb; great grandchildren, A.J. Barbour, Brionna Norris, and Destiny Norris; brother, Richard Beasley and wife, Linda; and nieces and nephews.
