Helen Holder West

Willow Spring, NC: Ms. Helen Holder West, age 80, of Kennebec Rd. passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at home unexpectedly. Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Hodges Chapel PFWB Church Cemetery in Benson.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Eddie White. 

Helen was born on August 19, 1943 in Lee County, NC to the late Johnnie Alexander Holder and Mary Thornburg Holder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waylon “Pete” West.   She retired from retail sales in 2007.   She enjoyed her garden, writing poetry and helping her community in any way she could serve. 

Survivors include her sister, Caroline Meadows; friends, Connie Byrd and husband, John and Mike Mangum and wife, Glenda along with several nieces, nephews and neighbors.
