Grace Gooding

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Grace Gooding, age 85, of  Four Oaks, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Liberty Commons Nursing Facility in Benson. Graveside Services will be 11:00AM Friday, January 22, 2021 at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White.             Mrs. Gooding  was born on June 05, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Willie  and Alice Allen Jones . She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Gooding; step-great grandson, Kyle Wingard; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She was a cook and served in multiple restaurants around the community.               Surviving are her children; Beverly O. Turnage and husband, Wade of Four Oaks, Tracy Oliver and wife, Shelia of Madison Alabama, and Steve Oliver of Louisburg; brother; Roger Jones of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren; Tony Turnage, Shelley Lee, Kelsey Oliver, Makayla Oliver, Chase Oliver, Denise Oliver, Danielle Taylor, and Angela Fish; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.               The family will receive friends at the home of Beverly and Wade Turnage. The family requests you wear a mask at the home.             The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.               In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
