Clayton, NC: Geraldine Mae Fogleman (née Russell), passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Johnston County, NC. Born on June 18, 1946, in New York, Geraldine’s life was defined by resilience, dedication to family, and a steadfast spirit that touched all those who knew her.

Throughout her eighty years, Geraldine cultivated meaningful and enduring relationships with those around her. She was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Russell and Alberta Russell, whose strong values she carried with her throughout her life. Geraldine is survived by her sons John Fogleman and James Sisk, and is remembered lovingly by her step-daughters Silvia Clifton, Sandra Hargis, and Sabrina Holland. Her family also includes her eight grandchildren, one great grandchildren along with her brothers, Albert Russell, Jr. and Dewayne Russell, who will carry forward her memory, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Geraldine’s family tree is marked by deep love and loss. She grieved the passing of her husband, Johnny Thompson; her son, Wiley Sisk; her grandson, Chris Sisk; and her sisters, Janet Lancaster and Rosemary Vest. Despite these sorrows, Geraldine remained a source of strength for those around her, offering compassion and guidance through all of life’s challenges.

Her early years began in New York, where she was born and raised. Throughout her life, Geraldine prioritized family and connection, always seeking to support loved ones through times of both joy and hardship. 

The family have chosen not to have any services per Geraldine's wishes.
