Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Gene Elwood Parker, age 79, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Duke Raleigh Health in Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM-1:45PM, Friday, November 28, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM in the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Mr. Parker Wood will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson, NC.

Mr. Parker was born in Harnett County, NC, to the late David Elwood Parker and Mary Ruth Benson Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael “Shane” Parker, and a brother, Ricky Dean Parker. Mr. Parker was a farmer, and retired from the drywall business. He enjoyed working, tinkering with his old vehicles and tractors, horseback riding, and spending time at the Uwharrie River.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kay Britt Parker, son, Travis Parker and wife, Dana; grandchildren, Erin Nenni, Michael Shane Parker and Ashley Barefoot; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Stanley, June Dail Jernigan, and LaRue Penny; special niece, Alicia Peacock and husband, Connor; great-niece, Addie Peacock; many other loving nieces and nephews.
