Gary David Stone

Benson, NC: Mr. Gary David Stone, age 65, of Benson (formerly of Slab Fork, WV), gained his angel wings on January 8, 2023. There will be a Celebration of Life Service announced at a later date.

Mr. Stone was born on June 12, 1957 in Raleigh County, WV to the late Samuel David and Virginia Molinari Stone. Mr. Stone was a carpenter by trade until his retirement.  He loved to play his guitar, spin a good story and loved to make people laugh.  He loved his son and all of his family.  He was a kind and gentle soul.  

Surviving includes his son, Josh Young of Four Oaks; granddaughter, Annie Mae Young of Four Oaks; sisters, Rosalyn Shortridge of Dayton, OH and Elaine “Tootie” Workman of Benson; niece, April Stone of Slab Fork, WV; nephews, Chuck Shortridge of McCordsville, IN and Dustin Workman of Benson.
