Floyd DeWayne Tart, a lifelong resident of Harnett County, passed away on August 1, 2026, at his home. Born on September 5, 1952, in Harnett County, Floyd was known for his steadfast character and deep commitment to family and friends.

Throughout his 73 years, Floyd exemplified integrity, kindness, and a profound sense of responsibility. He was the beloved husband of Janice Tart, whose companionship and support were central parts of his life. His enduring connection to his family also included his sister, JoAnn Tart Allen, who mourns his passing and cherishes their shared memories. Floyd's circle of friendship was highlighted by the loyal presence of Michael Stewart, whose longstanding friendship enriched Floyd’s life.

Floyd was the son of the late Floyd Ray Tart and Sarah Eloise Webb, both of whom preceded him in death. He honored their legacy through his actions and devotion to family values.

Floyd’s impact will continue to be felt by those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.
