Coats, NC: Mrs. Elsie Munden McLamb, age 92 of Three Bridge Road entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Revs. Kim Strickland and Glenn McLeod and Mr. Charlie Norris. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Elsie was born on May 28, 1933 in Johnston County to the late Johnny D. and Pauline Pollard Munden. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. J. McLamb, Jr.; her son, Tommy McLamb; and her brothers, J. D. Munden, Billy Munden, Carlton Munden, and sister, Doris Neighbors. Mrs. Elsie was a homemaker. She was a very dedicated member of Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she was the founder of the Ladies Auxiliary and the church choir. She loved to cook for her family and friends and you could also find her reading her Bible daily. Mrs. Elsie was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Danny McLamb and Sheila M. Underwood and fiancé, Barry Allen; daughter-in-law, Sue McLamb; grandchildren, Melissa McLamb, Stephen McLamb and wife, Sarah, Kristie Sellers and husband, A. J., Alicia LaMotte and husband, Phil, Jessica Johnson and husband, T. J., Melissa Auer and husband, Geoff, Kelsie Sarvis and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Landen, Jaclyne, Davison, Jamie, Kinley, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Aubrey, Lexi, James and Luke; brother, Wayne Munden and wife, Barbara; several nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Coats in memory of Mrs. Elsie M. McLamb.
