Eloise Parrish Clifton

McGee’s Crossroads, NC: Eloise Parrish Clifton went to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday, January 20th, 2024. She was born June 4th, 1932 in Johnston County. She graduated from Cleveland High School and Peace College and worked as a secretary until 1983. She travelled the world with the Love of her Life and adored every minute she had with her family.  She was a genuine friend and a true southern lady.  She was the daughter of late B. Harvey and Mable Stephenson Parrish. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Gerald A. Clifton; Grandson, Joshua G. Clifton; Great-great grandson, Westyn Henry McLamb and sisters Christine P. King, and Chellie P. Poston. Eloise was a long-time member of Johnston Memorial Church. 

          Funeral service will be conducted 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Overflow church, 8280 Hwy 50 North Benson, NC 27504 Burial will follow in the Johnston Memorial Church Cemetery @ Overflow. Officiating will be Revs. Chris Searles, R.B. Parrish, and Elvin Butts.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at Overflow Church. 

Surviving are her sons Gerald Garland (Jerry) Clifton, Craig Lee Clifton and Mark Wayne Clifton all of McGee’s Crossroads, Benson. Granddaughters Christy McLamb (Louis) of Benson, Jordan Clifton of Benson, and Ashley Deans (Earl) of Four Oaks. Great-Grandchildren Johnathan McLamb (Allison), Dustyn McLamb (Caitlyn), Dylan McLamb (Morgan), Taylor McLamb, Xander Deans, Oliver Deans, and Silas Clifton. Great-Great Grandchildren Brooks McLamb, Austyn McLamb, Bristyl McLamb, Camdyn McLamb, William (Banks) McLamb, and Presley McLamb. She is also survived by former husband, Ray Vone McLeod and children. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Overflow Church.
