Dunn, NC: Mrs. Edna Maureen Taylor Head, age 87, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-10:45AM, Thursday, August 6, 2026 at the Gospel Tabernacle in Dunn, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Gospel Tabernacle in Dunn, NC. Revs. Danielle Maynor, Eddie White and Ricky Head will officiate. Burial will follow in Veterans Memorial Gardens in Dunn, NC.

Mrs. Head was born on October 12, 1938, in England to the late Arthur John and Florence Hanover Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Wayne Head; infant son, Keith Head; and her sister, Sheila North. Mrs. Head was a retired teacher assistant serving Wayne County Public Schools for more than 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles, a good cup of hot tea, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Head was a member of Gospel Tabernacle in Dunn.

Survivors include her children, Tracy Puckett and Dexter Head and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Michael Puckett, Aaron Puckett and wife, Lindsay, Chelsea Head, Weston Head and wife, Sara; sister-in-law, Janice White; brothers-in-law, Ricky Head and wife, Joann and Phillip North; several nieces and nephews.
