Earnie McLamb

Benson:  Mr. Earnie Lemay McLamb, age 79, of 258 Helms-Dogwood Road died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Graveside Funeral Service will be 2:00PM Friday at Roselawn Cemetery.  Rev. Hubert Morgan and Dr. Larry Withrow will officiate.                Mr. McLamb was born January 11, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Willie A. “Son” and Mahalia Reaves McLamb.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Willie Alton McLamb and Leamon McLamb.  Mr. McLamb retired from Champion Products in Dunn and was an electrician for the Towns of Benson and Apex.  He served in the U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force and was a member of Banner Post 109 American Legion.  Mr. McLamb was a past member of the Benson Fire Department. Surviving include Wife of 56 years, Eleanor Sue Hall McLamb; Sons & Daughter-in-law, Ricky Lane McLamb of Benson, and Terry Lemay & Mary Jane McLamb of Coats; Sister, Allie Mae Lee of Benson; & Granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Kahouache and husband, Noureddine, of Angier.             Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 12:30PM to 1:30PM prior to the service on Friday.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1544, Smithfield, NC  27577.
