Benson, NC: Ms. Dorothy Dale Medlin, age 64, of Adams Drive, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. 

Dorothy was born on January 17, 1962 in Nash County, NC to the late Charlie and Rachel Medlin. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Robert Medlin and Robert Earl Medlin.

Dorothy worked as a caregiver for the majority of her life. She had a fondness for flowers and crossword puzzles. She loved her fur babies, Knowledge and Babe.

Surviving include her daughters, Rachel Vaughan and husband Chris, and Sylvia Arevalo; grandchildren, Leslie Vazquez, Alex Vazquez, Jennifer Arevalo, Allianna Vaughan, and Juan Arevalo; brother, Kenneth “Runt” Medlin; and dear friend, M.G Johnson.
