Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Dexter Wayne Edwards, age 53, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, Turkey hunting on youth day with his grandson in Mayesville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Mill Creek Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jerry Burton will officiate.

Mr. Edwards was born on October 6, 1972, in Johnston County, NC. Early in his career he worked for Penn Compression in Smithfield, NC, and continued his work as a Tool and Die Instructor with Johnston Community College at the Four Oaks location. He also was a Gun Smithing Instructor with Johnston Community College. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. Mr. Edwards was a member of Mill Creek Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Michelle B. Edwards; children, Destiny Edwards, and Darion Edwards and fiancée’ Caroline; grandson, Jay Johnson; parents, Don Wayne Edwards, and Debbie Carol Edwards; sister, Delilah Colie and husband, Robert; brother, Daniel Edwards, and wife, Audra; aunt, Brenda and uncle, Jim Tart; uncle, Ben Ray King; many loving nieces and nephews.
