Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Dennis Wayne Pope, age 65, of Thompson Road passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM-10:45AM-Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00AM in the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Rev. Tod Creech will officiate. Burial will follow in Blackmon’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.

Dennis was born on March 13, 1961 in Durham County, NC, to the late Bobby Ray and Jaqueline Barbour Johnson. He retired from Edward’s Food Store in Four Oaks after 40 years of serving his community and treating his customers like family. Dennis enjoyed processing wild game for his neighbors and friends. He loved all his family especially his grandchildren. Dennis was an avid UNC Tarheel Fan and never missed watching a Tarheel game since 1975.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years Debra T. Pope; son, Patrick Pope and wife, Heather; daughter, April Lewis and husband, Scott; son, Adam Woodall and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, Eva Grace Pope, Emmett Pope, Graylee Lewis, Eisley Pope, Will Woodall, Walker Lewis; brothers, Steve Johnson and Robin Johnson; sister-in-law, Jean Pender and husband, Jimmie; nieces and nephews, Lindsay Allen, Lori Blackmon, Lauren Register, Jacob Johnson, and Lindsey Hayes.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and will receive family and friends other times at the home.
