Benson, NC: Mrs. Deborah Parrish Gregory age 59 of 314 W. Main Street, Benson died Friday at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, NC. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2011, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Henry Lee and Pastor Steve Singleton. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Gregory was born January 23, 1952 in Harnett County to Margaret Elliott Parrish of Benson and the late Thomas Wilbert Parrish. She was a 1970 graduate of Garner Senior High School and attended Central Carolina Community College for a degree in Human Services. Mrs. Gregory served as the executive director of chambers of commerce for Benson, Coats, and Angier. She was a member of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Gregory was a volunteer coordinator for Hospice of Harnett County and a member of Benson Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, include, Husband, Randall Max Gregory of Coats; Daughters, Marla Matthews McDonald of Pennsylvania; and Amanda Matthews Wiley of Greenville, NC; Sons, Patrick Matthews and Landon Matthews both of Sanford; Brother, Landis Parrish of Benson; Half-Brother, Hal Elliott of Benson; and Four Grandchildren.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, September 19, 2011, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson.
