Benson, NC: Mr. Danny Owen Johnson, age 77, of Wood’s Crossroads Road passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM-Monday, September 21, 2026 in the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson with Masonic Rites.
Danny was born on August 12, 1949 in Harnett County, NC to the late Marvin Owen and Leacy Catherine Lee Johnson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret McCall Johnson; grandson, Dalton Moore Ausley; and his sister, Jeanette Carroll. Danny worked for Winn Dixie, Chicopee, and retired from Starfleet Trucking after 18 years of service. He was a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where he drove the senior citizens church bus for many years always leaving at 6:00PM sharp. Danny enjoyed watching Westerns, deer hunting, and NASCAR. He had a love for horses and going on trial rides. He also loved being "Uncle Danny" to many other children.
Surviving include his wife of 11 years, Kimm F. Johnson; son, Ronnie Ray Beasley; daughter, Wanda Ann Beasley; step-son, Brody Hudson and wife, Jessica; step-daughter, Brittany Foresi and husband, Miller; grandchildren, RaeAnn Leigh Coats, Eli Elmon Hudson, Avery Duncan, Yates Foresi; great-grandson, Avery James; brother, Jimmy Johnson and wife, Linda; nephew, Shawn Johnson and wife, Kristi and family; niece, Amber West and husband, Matthew and family; special nieces, MacKenzie Duke and husband, Ben and family and Madison Clifton and husband, Ashton and family. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time and they will also receive friends other times at the home.
Flowers are welcome; however, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
