Danny Wood, a devoted businessman, craftsman, and cherished member of his community, passed away, leaving behind a legacy defined by generosity, faith, and a lifetime of service to others. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM-8:00PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 15, 2025 at Unity Advent Christian Church 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson, NC.

Born in Harnett County to the late Dairus and Hester Wood, Danny grew up with deep family roots and strong values that shaped his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Marie Wood, whom he considered his greatest blessing; his brother, Donald Wood; his sister, Hilda Wood Beasley; and his father- and mother-in-law, Clarence and Elma B. Wood. Danny spent more than 44 years working side-by-side with his brother, Ronald, as co-owner of Woods Muffler, Woods Tire, and Woods Mini Storage. The shop was more than a workplace—it was a gathering place, a helping hand to the community, and a source of pride for Danny. Anyone who knew him could count on him to fix anything, solve a problem, or simply offer his time without hesitation. He was also well known for his love of Mopars. Danny found joy in attending car shows, talking with fellow enthusiasts, and proudly showing off his beautifully restored cars. His passion for classic vehicles brought him many lifelong friendships. Danny’s faith was at the heart of his life. As a proud member of Unity Advent Christian Church, he used his exceptional talents to remodel the sanctuary and build the fellowship hall—work he considered both a privilege and a calling. His craftsmanship remains forever woven into the fabric of the church he loved. Before his many years of business and community service, Danny served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. National Guard for seven years.

Danny is survived by his sons Sammy Glenn Wood and wife Dora Lynn, and their children Tyler Glenn Wood and Ross Wood; and Todd Wood and fiancée Sophia Lagos, and their children Nolan Wood, Connor Wood, Camila and Fila. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Wood and wife Debbie; brothers-in-law Orbie Beasley and wife Geraldine, Dale Wood and wife Donna, and Ronnie Wood and wife Lynn; sister-in-law Gail McLamb and husband Larry; and fiancée, Cindy Lancaster, who held a meaningful place in his life. Danny was a proud uncle to nephews Rodney Wood (Jennifer), Ron Wood (Nichole), Patrick Wood (Misti), Luke Wood (Morgan), Jeremy Davis (Talena); and nieces Amy Wood McLamb (Kevin) and Kasie Lee (James). He leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and a loving community of friends who will forever cherish his kindness, loyalty, and steady presence.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
