Dana Winford Edwards

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Dana Winford Edwards, age 67, died peacefully among close family on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at UNC Chapel Hill. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Oakland Heights in Smithfield. Officiating will be Pastor W.A. Cox.

Mr. Edwards was born on May 5, 1956 in Johnston County to the late Dalton Winford Edwards and Margaret Lee Warren Edwards. Dana owned and operated Edwards Motor Sales for 45 years.   He was an avid gun and knife collector.   He also loved to shag to Carolina Beach music.  

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Morgan Edwards Webb of Beaufort; sister, Jennifer S. Edwards of Meadow; nieces, Anna M. Capps of Raleigh and Allison E. Coats of Meadow; great friend of 10 years, Connie Price; several great nieces, nephews and cousins; one of his favorite persons; Jenny “Scuba” Mahoney.

Family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
