Benson, NC: Mr. Dalton B. McLamb, age 92, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, just five days following the passing of his wife of 73 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, February 13, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC. Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Danny McLamb will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. McLamb was born on December 9, 1933 in Johnston County, NC to the late Willis Edgar McLamb and Ardelia Hargrove McLamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Davis McLamb, sisters, Leola M. Wheeler, and Maverine M. Edwards, brothers, Floyd McLamb, Lloyd McLamb, Lethel McLamb, J.D. McLamb, and Ray McLamb. Mr. McLamb was a retired farmer and co-owner and operator of D & T Farms in the Meadow Community. He was a charter member of the Meadow Fire Department, and was also a member of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church, where he served in many capacities. Mr. McLamb enjoyed working on the farm with his black angus cows, and watching the crops grow. His greatest joys were his family, especially his great-grandchildren, Grayson and Anniston.
Survivors include his son, Timmy McLamb and wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Stephanie Williams; great-grandchildren, Grayson Williams and Anniston Williams; sister-in-law, Alma Lee McLamb; several nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, and will also receive friends at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to St. Judes Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to one's favorite charity.
