Connie was born in New Bern, NC to the late Floyd and Evelyn Brittain White, in the richness of family where the importance of valuing and loving others was instilled in her from a young age. While growing up in New Bern she developed a lifelong love for that community. Her home place is where she spent time water skiing and began her love for shagging. Connie graduated from New Bern High School in 1962, where she enjoyed her years there as a cheerleader and always remained a proud New Bern Bear. Connie moved to Raleigh, NC where she attended Hardbarger Business College and began her 30 year career at NC State University where she later retired.

Connie and Ray were avid NC State Wolfpack fans who attended many athletic events and concerts at Reynolds Coliseum. Even through the latter years, Connie proudly gave a Wolfpack howl after a win. The two were not just partners for life, but partners on the dance floor. Connie found joy in her flowers where she had a remarkable gift for bringing things to life and her gardens, much like her family, thrived under her love and care. Connie was happiest when she was surrounded by family. She was their biggest cheerleader and never missed an opportunity to show up and support the people that she loved.

Connie had an unwavering faith in Christ and her devotion to the Lord was the foundation for everything that she did. She served as an example to her family on how to love, serve and extend grace and kindness to all. Connie and Ray attend Stones Creek Church in Benson, NC. Connie was known as Mama, Nanny, Babe and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will continue to shine through those that she loved.

Connie is survived by her husband, Arthur Rayvon Adams; daughters, Michelle Stewart (Darren), Melissa Adams (Robbie); stepdaughter, Shelly Thompson (Tony); grandchildren, Christopher Woods (Sarah), Courtney Woods (Kayla), Emilee Moore (Cole), Dolan Adams and Cole Thompson; great grandchildren, Chloe, Lily, Sadie, Carson and Wade; siblings, Floyd E. White Jr. (Brenda) and Sheila Moses; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers; the family requests a donation to Stone's Creek Advent Christian Church of Benson, NC or a donation to a ministry or charity of your choice in honor of Connie White Adams.
