IDunn, NC: Colby Lane McLamb, age 30, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his residence. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM-1:45PM, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Blackman’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church 1362 Timothy Road, Dunn, NC 28334. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Grove Presbyterian Church, Dunn, NC. Rev. Greg Tart and Rev. Keith Rivenbark will officiate.

Colby was born on March 23, 1996 in Wake County, NC, to Tracey McLamb of Benson, NC and Pamela Anne West of Smithfield, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn McLamb and Nathan Carlton West, Sr.

Colby recently worked with the Harnett County Detention Center in Lillington, NC. He loved being outdoors shooting his guns and cooking. He also loved fishing, country music, and reading his Bible. Most of all, Colby loved spending time with his family, especially his loves Lauren and Peyton. He attended Blackman’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn, NC.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Lauren Rae McLamb; daughter, Peyton Rae McLamb; brother, Jenson McLamb; grandmothers, Dianne McLamb, and special friend Rufus Samuel Britt, and Ann West; mother-in-law, Alissa T. Owen; grandparents-in-law, Linda M. Tart and George F. Tart; special dog, Harley.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, and will also start receiving friends on Saturday at the home of Colby and Lauren.
