Clarence Honeycutt

April 3, 1934 — August 30, 2011

Mr. Clarence Carlie Honeycutt, age 77, of 288 Penny Road died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 2:00PM Friday at Benson Grove Baptist Church, Benson.  Rev. Dr. Billy Cashwell and Rev. Dr. Herbert Carter will officiate.  Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery.                  Mr. Honeycutt was born April 3, 1934 in Johnston County to the late James Fred and Bertie Stephenson Honeycutt.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Langdon Honeycutt; sister, Maudi Lee McGee; and brothers, Thomas Honeycutt, Edward Honeycutt, Clyde Honeycutt, and Leonard Honeycutt. Mr. Honeycutt served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a farmer and a member of Johnson Memorial Church. Surviving include Wife, Idaleen Allen Honeycutt; Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Gwen & Randy Pope and Ramona & Joe Bowen, all of Angier; Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Eric & Melinda Honeycutt of Benson and Barry & JoAnne Honeycutt of Angier; Step-children & Spouses, Danny & Teresa Allen of Angier, Ricky & Paula Allen of Dunn, Craig & Jenny Allen of Angier, Anita & George Berg of Knightdale, and Tony & Sheri Parker of Angier; Sisters, Edna McLamb of Angier and Pauline Jones of Benson; 8 Grandchildren; 7 Step-Grandchildren; & 5 Great Step-Grandchildren.             Family will receive friends at Benson Grove Baptist Church in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Highway Shepherd’s Program, c/o Benson Grove Baptist Church or to Benson Grove Baptist Church, 6966 NC Hwy 50 North, Benson, NC  27504.
