Newton Grove, NC: Mr. Christopher Lee Raynor, age 50, of Newton Grove Road passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at his residence. Graveside Funeral Service will be held-3:30 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the Raynor Family Cemetery in Newton Grove. Officiating will be Rev. Julius Simmons. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at Newton Grove Methodist Church.

Christopher was born on April 5, 1976 in Sampson County to William Christopher and Brenda Langston Raynor. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie Lee and Margaret Raynor, his maternal grandparents, George and Christine Langston, as well as his uncles, Wayne Langston and Andy Langston. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Cindy, and a loving father, son, and brother. A lifelong farmer, he was known for his unwavering work ethic, humility, and quiet strength. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He never complained, no matter the challenges he faced, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Easy to talk to and genuinely kind, he made everyone feel welcome and valued. He will be remembered not only for the life he built through hard work and dedication, but for the compassion, integrity, and selflessness that defined the man he was. Every night after work, he and Cindy would have a Diet Coke date at McDonald’s. His legacy of love, generosity, and quiet perseverance will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Surviving includes his wife, Cindy Raynor; parents, Chris and Brenda Raynor; children, Dani Braun and husband, Tyler, Andrew Eldridge and wife, Josie, and Cannon Raynor; granddaughter, Isla Britt Eldridge; sister, Christen Eldridge and husband, Timothy; and niece and nephew, Ally and Landon Eldridge.
