Mr. Christopher Kevin “Chris” Wallace, age 64, of Surles Road died Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 2:45PM Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Tuesday, October 6, 2026 in the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Mr. Neil Clifton. Chris was born June 20, 1962 in Wake County to the late Delbert Waverly and Marjorie Clifton Wallace. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Spivey; and brother, Keith Wallace. Chris was a roofer by trade and took great pride in his work. He was an avid reader who enjoyed music and had a love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and collecting arrowheads, and some of his fondest memories were made fishing along the coast with his nephew, Jordan. Chris was also a devoted NASCAR fan and enjoyed following the races. Chris had a deep compassion and unconditional love for his special needs daughter, Karen. She held a very special place in his heart, and his love and devotion to her were evident in the care and tenderness he showed her. Above all, Chris cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him great joy and filled his heart with love. He will be remembered for the many interests he enjoyed, the memories he created, and most of all, the love and compassion he shared with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Hayes Wallace; children, Scott Langdon (Amber), grandchildren, Blayden and Trysten; sister, Debbie McLamb and daughter, Katelyn; sister-in-law, Ann Raynor and husband, Donnie Barham; brother-in-law, Mark Hayes and wife, Suzzan; nieces and nephews, Kelly Raynor Jarman and husband, Micheal and son, Jordan, Lori Raynor Turnage and son, Freddy Wayne, Heather Hayes Gerrell and son, Mylo and Gio.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time and will also be receiving family and friends at the home.
