A candle was lit in memory of Charles Ennis

I served with Charles both in the National Guard and as full-time employees of the National Guard. He was one fine man and an outstanding soldier. He will be missed by all that had anything to do with him. I could always tell that he took joy in helping people. He will make the skys in heaven shine brighter.

I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of SSgt. Ennis, he was one of my heroes. I was one of his soldiers and I can say without doubt that he was one of the greatest soldiers, leaders, husbands and fathers who ever lived. Mrs. Marilyn, my prayers go out to you and the rest of your family, anyone who was ever in his presence knew how much he loved and treasured you all. God bless you and give you His peace.

Charles will be missed but not forgotten. My dad (Jerry Johnson) and I were in the National Guard with Charles. He was truly a good person and always a pleasure to be around him.

Charles and I (and my Twin Brother, Ray Stone) were 1961
graduates together. He was truly loved and LIKED by all
his classmates....and everyone who knew him. Marilyn, I'm
glad I got to meet you many years ago.....in your home. A
1961 Class Reunion Team met at your house one Sunday
evening. I met another "Marilyn" years ago in Nashville, TN.
My husband and I will be thinking...and praying for you
during these days ahead. Charles will be a happy memory
to me and smiles during these times. May God continue to
bless you...daughter...and grandson.

So very sorry for this great loss. Charles was a friend to all who knew him and was always willing to help where ever he could. My thoughts and prayers are with the Marilyn and the entire family at this sad time. May God comfort you all in a very special way.
