Lillington, NC: Ms. Cassie Marie Horne, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Transitions in Raleigh surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-1:45PM, Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM, in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn, NC. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate.

Ms. Horne was born on December 4, 1986, in Wake County, NC, to James Horne and Claudette Bryd. She was preceded in death by her Paternal grandfather, Hardie Horne, maternal grandfather, A.V. Byrd and niece, Aubrey Genesis Horne along with a close family friend, Andy “Country” Stanfield. Cassie lived her live to the fullest. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and you usually found her with a Gatorade in her hand. Cassie was a real outdoors person she loved flowers, bright colors that nature offered. She loved to hang out with people at cookouts and gathering. Cassie loved the freedom of her car, she would hop in her car and take a road trip, blasting music as she went.

Survivors include her children, Angelica Gleason, Deontae Carroll, Mya Carroll, Dakota Murray and Serenity Chancy; grandchildren, Connor Lee Gleason and Hunter Vance Gleason; mother, Claudette McLeod; father, James Horne and wife, Paula; brothers, David Horne (wife Alicia) and Adam Horne; sister, Harley Horne; maternal grandmother, Sue Byrd; paternal grandmother, Carrie Horne; nieces, Alexis, Jada, Harmony Horne, Peyton Stewart along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
