Coats, NC:  Mrs. Carolyn Beasley Smith, age 62, of 140 Russell Hogan Lane died Monday at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Pastors Kenneth Loch and Dennis Pollock. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born June 2, 1949 in Johnston County to the late William Jacob and Betty Catherine Roberts Beasley. She was a seamstress in the textile business before retiring, and was a homemaker. Surviving include her husband, Fredrick W. Smith; Daughter & Son-In-Law, Jenny & Rodney Herring of Lillington; Granddaughters, Megan Lanfair and Hanna Johnson; Great Granddaughter, Gracie Carolyn Lanfair; Sisters, Ethelene O’Neal, Mary Davis, Joyce Davis, and Hilda Wilkins, all of Benson; Brothers, Billy Beasley of Benson, Kenneth Beasley of Smithfield, Dan Beasley of Coats, Bobby Beasley of Dunn, Donald Beasley of McGee’s Crossroads, and Ricky Beasley of Fayetteville. Family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
