Benson, NC: Mrs. Callie Maude Raynor, age 103, of Raynor Road passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2025 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Darren Bantz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Raynor was born on February 7, 1922 in Johnston County to the late Ardell “A.D.” and Callie Wood Raynor. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oaklee Raynor, son, Lee Roy Raynor, grandson, Jeremy McLamb, great granddaughter, Emily Clair Worley, and step-granddaughter, Donna Barefoot. Mrs. Raynor was a life long farmer and worked at the Benson Café for her brother, Darius Raynor until she chose to become the full-time caretaker of her mother until her passing. She then went on to retire from Bonder’s Coat Factory. She was a faithful member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church where she was a devoted Sunday School teacher for both teenagers and senior adults for many years, a member of the WHFMS Society where she served as treasurer, sung in the choir, and loved to plan the annual Christmas plays. She loved the simple things in life like gardening and watching things grow as well as sewing and quilting. Mrs. Raynor loved her family dearly and loved spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, John L. Raynor and wife, Linda and Nelda R. McLamb and husband, Graylon all of Benson; grandchildren, Sonia Hines and husband, Jimmy of Benson, Susan Worley and husband, Joseph of Benson, Laura Lee Raynor of Benson, and Brandon L. McLamb and wife, Megan of Holly Springs; 5 great grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Gail Edwards and husband, Jerry and Sondra Bass and husband, Graham; 8 step great grandchildren; sister, Grace Raynor Wood; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Rene Barbour and Kim Bantz. 

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.
