Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Alice Baker Turnage, age 75, of Highway 301 passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. A Graveside Service will be held-11:00 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield. Officiating will be Rev. Sam Blackman.

Mrs. Turnage was born on June 20, 1951 in Johnston County to the late William Jodie and Effie Thompson Baker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lennis Turnage; daughter-in-law, Karen Strickland; sister, Gloria Baker; and brother, Craig Baker. She loved to shop and spend time with her beloved dogs, Jazzy and Lily. More than anything she loved making memories with her family who she adored. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Strickland and Shawn Turnage; grandchildren, Tyler Strickland and wife, Nikki, and Kady Brooke Strickland; brother, Greg Baker and wife, Darlene; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
