Sumter, SC: SSgt. Justin Ray Strickland, age 26, of 2270 Waterwheel Drive, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM-Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier with full Military Honors.
SSgt. Strickland was born June 14, 1992 in Wake County to Ginger Parrish Bryant of Angier and Christopher Ray Strickland of Selma. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Julian "Mitch" Parrish. SSgt. Strickland served our country in the US Air Force for 8 years, and was a training manager for the maintenance squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father include his wife of 6 years, Brittney Leigh Sills Strickland, daughters, Rayleigh Strickland, Lily Strickland and Lucy Strickland; maternal grandmother, Linda Oliver and partner, Shannon Baker of Angier and Sandra Parrish of Willow Spring; paternal grandparents, Ray and Loretta Strickland of Willow Spring; brothers, Tommy Holland of Kansas and Matthew Bryant of Garner; sister, Melissa Strickland of Willow Spring; aunt and uncle, Larry and Cindy Chapman and cousins, Kellie, Kasie, and Karrie; special dog, Banjo; many other friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday, March 11, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Ginger Parrish Bryant, 727 Massengill Pond Road, Angier, NC 27501.
