A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, 11:00 AM at Stones Creek Advent Christian Church outside of Benson with the Revs. Scott Johnson and Billy Cashwell officiating.  Burial will follow at Fellowship Community Cemetery on Old Fairground Road in Angier, NC.

Johnny was born May 10, 1957 to the late George Cleo Adams and Eva Mae Everitte Adams.  Mr. Adams was also preceded in death by his sisters, Edith Adams Moore and Wanda Lou Adams Boyette and brothers-in-law, Sherrill Franklin Phipps, Sr. and George Rufus Massengill.  Mr. Adams graduated from South Johnston High School in 1975. He began working at Hilltop Farms, but wanted to pursue a career in the building industry.  He began as a salesman for Guy C. Lee Building Materials, but realized he wanted to use his hands to build something and started his own Framing Company doing boxing and siding work.  Always excelling at whatever he did, he became a Licensed General Contractor. He was the owner and operator of Johnny Adams, Inc. where he built many Spec homes, but his true passion was building a Custom Home.  He loved seeing the end result of his labor and built many homes in Johnston and Wake County.

He enjoyed playing golf and always looked forward to going to Myrtle Beach to play several rounds with a bunch of his golfing buddies.  He also loved riding horses. He always said riding was so peaceful and calming.

He was a past President of the Johnston County Homebuilders Association, past member of the Masonic Lodge in Benson and past member of the Four Oaks Civitan Club.

One of his proudest achievements were his children. He is survived by a son, George Cameron Adams of Benson; daughter, Jordan Kasey Adams also of Benson; and the love of his life, Ginger Adams.  Also he is survived by his sisters, Edna A. Phipps of Four Oaks; Brenda Adams of Newton Grove and fiancé, Morris Beasley; Carolyn A. Williams and husband, James and Diane A. Massengill all of Four Oaks; and brother, George Harold Adams of Four Oaks; brother-in-law, Thomas Moore of Dunn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He truly loved his family and left a lasting legacy of Love.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2020 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
