ROBERTS AND POWELL NAMED TO FUNERAL HOME BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Benson: Richard Allen Roberts and Justin Lee Powell have been named to the Board of Directors of Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Inc., with establishments in Benson and Coats. Announcements were made this week by the firm’s President, John A. “Winn” Graham.
Roberts and Powell are both natives of Johnston County and graduated from South Johnston High School. Both graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 2004 with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service Education.
In making the announcement, Mr. Graham stated that “we are very happy to have had Allen and Justin on our staff, and now we welcome them as stockholders and directors of Rose & Graham Funeral Home. They both have shown genuine abilities and willingness to serve with care and compassion. Our tradition of 103 years of dependable service in Johnston and Harnett Counties will be enhanced by having them join our Board of Directors.”
Other officers of the corporation are James W. “Jimmie” Rose, President Emeritus; Miriam D. Rose, Vice President; and Anne Graham, Secretary-Treasurer.
Roberts is married to the former Melissa Gregory of Four Oaks and she is employed with Honeycutt & Grady, CPAs. They are members of Unity Advent Christian Church and are active in the youth program.
Powell is married to the former Melissa Wood of Four Oaks and she is a radiographer in the diagnostics department at Eastern Carolina Medical Center. They are members of New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and are active in many church activities.
Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Inc. is the oldest independently owned and operated funeral home in Johnston and Harnett Counties. It is a member of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and Selected Independent Funeral Homes, an organization whose members are chosen by invitation only. In closing, Graham stated, “We are excited about the continuation of our business for future generations by having these fine young men become a part of our firm. Our goals are to remain an independent firm and to provide the same quality service to the communities as we have for the past 103 years.”
